January 12th Update
The cold weather has wrecked havoc on racing so far this year but the forecast is promising and we may send Surrey Quest to Haydock for the £100k Peter Marsh handicap, read on for more …
Happy New Year !
Happy New Year and best wishes for 2025, may all your racing dreams come true. We’re off to Deauville on Friday and possibly Warwick on Saturday. Read on for last year’s summary…..
Seeing out 2024
2024 was another super year for Surrey Racing but we are soon to leave all that behind as we look forward with excitement to what 2025 holds with 2 NH horses to debut over hurdles, 3 yearlings to debut, and we are yet to see the best of our two older flat horses, plus a Scottish National issue to settle!
Merry Christmas
We may have one more runner before the year is out with Surrey Quest looking to retain the Mandarin Trophy at Newbury on the 28th, and then plenty of action coming up in January.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas
15th December Update
Two good runs last week but not quite on the premises with Surrey Noir 6th in Chantilly and Surrey Lord 5th at Warwick.
Surrey Quest next in the Mandarin … read on for more …
8th December Update
We are off to Chantilly on Tuesday, surely one of the world’s most iconic racecourses, to see if Surrey Noir can get his second win in France. Surrey Lord may be back later in the week at Warwick, we have high hopes for both - fingers crossed!
1st December update
It was great for the syndicate owners to meet Sea Presenting who looked an absolute picture on the gallops at Toby Lawes, we can’t wait to see her on the racecourse in the New Year. No runners this week, but plenty coming up in December, read on …
November 24th Update
It’ a windy one !
We have spent the week welcoming new owners, debating Surrey Quest’s target and booking another trip to Chantilly.
No racing this week but we can’t wait to welcome the owners to meet Sea Presenting on Saturday in Dorking.
Post Cheltenham
A fantastic day for the owners with Surrey Quest who ran an absolute blinder on a course that didn’t suit, ground that wasn’t soft enough and a distance that was too short. To finish an eye catching second was brilliant.
Condolences to the owners, staff and connections of the three horses who didn’t make it home yesterday, it can be a brutal sport at times.
Sea Presenting joins the stable.
We have a new NH horse ready to run, and next week should see the return of Surrey Quest who will (ground permitting) run at Cheltenham on Sunday.
All Change
All Change ! We have new arrivals and other horses off to new challenges following the Tatts HIT sale. A solid debut from Surrey Lord gave the patient owners some cheer. Surrey Quest next up in 2 weeks time, we know what he can do!
Back to GMT
As the clocks change, the evenings draw in, and we have one last flat runner this year before the NH season takes out attention. Two good chances this week ….
October 20th Update
We bought 2 horses from Book 2 this week, Surrey Moon sold out straight away, but Surrey King, a gorgeous son of Palace Pier has shares available. He will go into training with Hughie Morrison.
Surrey Charm is set for Newbury on Friday in her last race for Surrey Racing ….
13th October Update
Autumn is with us as the flat season draws to a close, the yearling sales are on, the HIT sales with have three Surrey Racing horses in them, and the the NH make a return/debut, plus we are visiting Chantilly to see Surrey Noir race and check on our new horse Surrey Etoile....it's all happening !
RIP Dawn Rose
Unfortunately racing lost one of it's most enthusiastic owners last week as Dawn Rose lost her battle with cancer. She owns shares in 4 horses with us as well as shares in varying sizes in about 40 other horses. She was brave to the end and we will miss her.
We could have 3 runners this week, read on for more ...
The Belle of Haydock
Another week, another winner! It's been a fantastic month with 6 runners, wins for Surrey Belle and Surrey Noir, with 3 other places. Win and Place this year stands at a staggering 52%. Surrey Charm should go close this week at Bath ....
September 22nd Update
A superb win from Surrey Noir in France and a battling third by Surrey Force at Chester gave us plenty to cheers about last week. Surrey Belle looks set for Haydock on Friday as the summer seems to have ended and we head into the Autumn on ground that will suit our horses.
September 15th Update
Unfortunately Surrey Mist has succumbed to injury and he's had to be retired from racing. We will make sure he goes to a loving him and continues to have a very happy life outside of the racetrack, we wish him well.
8th September Update
3 runners this past week with 2 places but unfortunately missing out on that elusive win. This week could see us heading to Ffos Las (Surrey Belle) and Chester (Surrey Mist) but plenty of options for all the horses now the rain has come ......
September Already!
We can't believe it's September already, the year is flying by. We hope to have three 'flying' horses this week with Surrey Force, Surrey Fire and Surrey Noir all in action. Best of luck to connections.
