End of June Update
A quieter week without too much to report however we do have a runner this week.
Coming up on Tuesday we have Surrey Princess’ potentially last run in Surrey Racing colours as she competes in the Bet Boost At bet365 Handicap at Brighton on Tuesday, the 2.30 race is over 10 furlongs with Trevor Whelan riding. She’s been drawn stall 3 of the 8 runner race and we have high hopes of revisiting the winner’s enclosure!
Unfortunately we’ve had to cancel next Sunday’s visit to Billy’s yard in Adstone to see Surrey Fortune who has recovered really well from his operation and is very happy in himself. We’ll put another date in the diary or if you do want to visit at some point let us know and that can be arranged.
Surrey Charm is almost ready to go again and George thinks that a race on the evening of 7th July at Epsom would suit. It’s an 80s nights with racing followed by a live DJ set from 80s icon Martin Kemp ! Knowing the Charm owners, I think that could be right up their street! Surrey Mist is fresh and is very well and no reason why he cant get back out again. There’s two potential races coming up at Ascot and Newmarket that he may have entries for on July 8th and 9th.
Of the others, not much to report, Surrey Noir had his annual flu jab so he had an easier week, and he’s definitely been pulled from the race in Ireland early August. Surrey Knight has had laser treatment and that went well. The others are all as they were last week.
