Surrey Mist Shines at Kempton

Surrey Mist was in a very hot looking novice race at Kempton featuring plenty of winning horses, including horses owned by The Queen, Bjorn Nielson. plus some untried Godolphin blue bloods including a one from one winner that cost £500k ! Mist and Trevor Whelan had the widest draw to overcome but broke well and settled into a good position just off the lead but prepared to put the inexperienced Appleby trained horses under pressure. He was always travelling the strongest and into the home straight pulled away to win by a cosy 3 lengths. It’s hard to know how good the opposition are but Mist can only beat whats in front of him and did that very well today. The future is very bright indeed! Congratulations to Trevor, George, Thierry and all of the connections - there are certainly some good days out to come.
