No Fireworks this week !

Firstly a big welcome to Charlie, Oli and Graham, the latest new owners and we look forward to meeting you all soon. Shares in the two new horses have been flying off the shelf, there won’t be many (if any) left after the morning at Langshot Stud at the end of the month where those who wish will get a chance to see Surrey Fire and Surrey Force, as well as Surrey Fortune and Surrey Charm, a chance to meet the trainers with a bacon roll and a glass of fizz, what’s not to like !!    

Certainly the last couple of days have brought enough rain to really soften the ground and so we have high hopes that Surrey Quest will be out soon. We have an owners visit to Nicky Henderson’s on Wednesday where we will get the latest and we will have a chance to say goodbye to Gran Luna.     

For those coming it’s a 09.15 meet at  Seven Barrows, 2 The Cottages, Lambourn, Hungerford RG17 8UH.  

Not a great deal of news on the other horses. Surrey Charm was meant to be doing more walking but she’s had yet another growth spurt so she’s taking things easy again for a few weeks to let the body catch up with itself. Surrey Noir has been walking, he’s got another couple of weeks of that, before being x rayed and then if that’s ok he will start trotting which will take him into December. 

Surrey Mist is having downtime out in the paddock while Surrey Belle continues to be ever so slowly pushed to do more. Surrey Lord had a routine gastroscope this week which showed a nice and clean stomach. No changes with the others.
